Call for Participation: The 3rd Workshop of Discontinued Civic Tech

We are pleased to announce the 3rd Workshop of Discontinued Civic Tech, organized in cooperation with the Civic Data Lab and the Weizenbaum Institute.
Under the German title “Was wird aus digitalen Prototypen der Zivilgesellschaft?”, the workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners to exchange experiences and lessons from civic tech projects that have ended, are approaching the end of their funding period, or have successfully continued over the longer term.
The workshop will explore how the experiences and results of projects using data and AI for the common good can be preserved and used to strengthen social infrastructure and digital civic participation. Participants will share project stories and lessons, develop recommendations in group discussions, and contribute ideas to a joint whitepaper for stakeholders in politics and public administration.

Participants may also apply to give a seven-minute presentation about their project and its key lessons, or express interest in contributing to the whitepaper as a co-author.
